  The Colour of the Crossroad

Rose
Is a pale and hopeful colour.
Dawnful, beginning
Like blushing with gentle touching or
Seductive words.
(Like knowing at first glance
that soon or later coming, joining.)

Shading more vivid and stronger with time.
Deeper, more intense and layered.
Noonful, progressing
Like sighing jeweled warm embraces or
Poetry's birth.
(Like knowing beyond knowing
the way that lovers are aware.)

This, now, is the colour of the crossroad
Reached long before the dusk approaches.
Hopeful, enduring
Like diorite forever monuments or
Golden circlets.
(Like knowing every pinkish, streaky dawn
begins another day of love with you.)
