  Love Beyond
Inside these ramparts we built with secrets,
We lie together, damp and trembling
With the marks of kisses still upon our skin
Time plus distance
Peripheral, pushed aside...
Now this place of our own devising
Shimmers with vibrant colour,
Crackles with energy and passion.
It is a place of beginning and remembrance.
It is hallowed, but laughter-immersed...
It is the place our love has reached...beyond.
Through time plus distance,
Our separate pain, our together agony...
I do not have a thought you don't understand.
No life or breath or blood that isn't yours,
Here blessed and beyond.
